X68000 Among emulator I is based on the XM6 and XM6 TypeG known for accurate emulation. This is a Japanese X68000 emulator, but not much is known about it. Also, there is also a translation to Greek done by GreekRoms. The English version requires that the font msgothic.ttc is installed (for displaying Japanese characters). This emulator is a good X680x0 emulator, but most of the documentation isn't in English. The X68000 boot roms required by EX68 can be downloaded from here. It is, however, rather slow, and is in Japanese.

This emulator does a great job of emulating the X68000, and even has FM and MIDI port sound emulation. It wasn't just good for games, it had great programs that you could use with it. Sold only in Japan, it had the best Arcade ports around, with many games available for it. This 16-bit Japanese computer system was created by Sharp in 1986. Both source code and binaries are included in the zip. I'm not sure if that's the solution, but there's an X68000 ROM file of some sort as a separate download in the author's website, which could or not fix the issue. I couldn't start the emulator in the end, because I got thrown some error message, which I assume says that I lack the/an 'IPL-ROM'. The upload contained here is a hybrid Mac/Win. There, you'll find versions of the emulator across all Mac platforms (at least PowerPC and Intel). Very luckily, each of the listed downloads has been archived by. You can download the latest versions of it for each Mac platform, plus related files, from its now-defunct website, here. This emulator has a proper name, which is X68000EM. So, I decided to poke at this guy today a little bit, and see what's up with it.
